Phosphorus Balance Calculator

CAFRE has developed a new computer program to help farmers calculate Phosphorus Balance.  This program will be of particular interest to those farmers who have applied for the Nitrates Derogation as one of the requirements for a farm is not to exceed 10 kg P/ha.  

The Phosphorus Balance Calculator is the third program available on the RuralNI website which have been developed to support farmers meet the requirements of the Nitrates Action Programme. The first two programs are the Livestock Manure Nitrogen Loading Calculator and the Livestock Manure Storage Calculator.

To access the program go to the ruralni homepage and Log in. If you are not already registered on the site follow the on-screen instructions by clicking “Sign-up now” at the left hand side.  Registration will take approximately one week.  Farmers who use this website to access APHIS Online are already registered.  The Calculators are then available on the left side of the site home page.
