Deep in thought

Members of the Banbridge Dairy Herd Fertility Challenge Group get to grips with assessing submission rates based on their own herd records. Over the past two years, 50 dairy farmers, in the area, have participated in the series of meetings and farm visits which deals with all aspects of getting cows back in calf. The current group was set up jointly with local Veterinary Practitioner, Rich Huey and CAFRE Dairying Development Advisor Richard Henning (pictured right). Further meetings are planned for the coming autumn in all the local advisory areas. Interested dairy farmers should contact their local CAFRE Dairying Development Advisor.
