CAFRE Launches Cross Compliance Workshops
The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise, CAFRE, has recently began a winter programme of workshops on Cross Compliance. This workshop has been designed to help farmers understand their responsibilities in relation to the 19 Statutory Management Requirements and the six Good Agricultural and Environmental Conditions that make up Cross Compliance.
We are aiming for small groups of participants of approximately 15 to encourage good discussion of these important topics and are planning over 150 workshops over the next few months. In addition the workshops are being taken by farmers who know at first hand the problems faced by farmers and are able to put the various issues into a local practical context.

Pictured at a workshop at Enniskillen Campus are from left Willie Morrison, Roger Morrison, Eddie Rodgers (local beef farmer and trainer for the evening), George Hamilton and Raymond Prentice.
Cross Compliance workshops are being held at local venues across the country in the coming months and if you are interested in attending please call Sonia Nicholl at 028 9442 6864 to book your place.
