Transport

While in their care it is the livestock owner's responsibility to ensure that animals are properly looked after in transit at all times as per current animal transit regulations.

Whilst welfare of cattle after leaving the farm is not directly under the control of the farmer, it is expected that farmers will entrust the care of their livestock only to persons they consider to be capable of safeguarding welfare.
