120 pig unit tour - 2nd stage accommodation
- Pigs are moved to the second stage house at 19 kg and remain there for six weeks
- The six rooms are linked by a side passage
- Pigs are stocked at 0.4sq m/pig
- The ventilation system consists of a roof mounted fan which is positioned over the passage
- Air is drawn in through passive inlets positioned in the wall at the back of the pens
- One double corner wet and dry feeder is positioned in each pen
- The pens are subdivided with PVC divisions. These are easily washed and light to handle
