Tour - Dry Sow house
- The dry sows are housed in free access cubicles
- Sows are grouped in batches of 4
- The batches are in rotation depending on stage of pregnancy
- The cubicles are used by the sows for both lying and feeding
- Sows have free access to a slatted roaming area
- Each group of sows is separated by a gate
- The fully slatted roaming / dunging area ensures the sows remain clean
- An automatic feeding system allows for all the sows to be fed at once
- Feed levels are adjusted depending on the stage of pregnancy and sow condition
- Ad-lib water is provided by a manual flush system
