Finishing Accommodation

Second stage accommodation.
Pigs are moved to the second stage accommodation at 16 kgs and remain there until they are 38 kgs. The pigs are penned in groups of 18.
Corner wet & dry feeder.
Pigs are fed using a corner wet and dry feeder. A steel plate under the feeder helps to highlight wastage.
Pigs in house.
On this unit the finishing stage is split into two stages. Pigs are transferred at 38 kgs to the first stage finishing house and at 60 kgs to the second stage finishing house. Pigs are stocked at 0.55sqm (6sqft) in the first stage finishing and 0.75sqm (8sqft) in the second stage
