Eventing
A one-day event will involve Dressage, Cross-County and Show Jumping.
The more demanding three day event will include:
Day 1 – Dressage
Day 2 – Cross Country
Day 3 – Veterinary Inspection and Show Jumping
The scores from each phase are accumulated and the person with the least number of penalties wins the event. After the Cross-Country phase of a three day event the horse is subject to veterinary inspection to make sure it is sound. If the horse is sound it may proceed to the Show Jumping phase but if the horse is unsound it must be withdrawn from the entire competition.
