Short courses
Learning programmes to improve your enterprise and husbandry skills
Short courses are aimed at farmers, farm family members, people over 16 years old, and at those running or working in horticultural businesses. Courses available can be divided into four main categories:-
- Practical skills courses
- Legislative courses
- Technical courses
- Business management courses.
Short courses normally range in duration from 1 to 10 days. Many lead to validated qualifications or recognised Certificates of Competence.
The Practical and legislative courses are usually held at Greenmount and/or Enniskillen Campuses and normally take place during the day to facilitate access to machinery and livestock as required.
Technical and management courses are held throughout Northern Ireland in local community halls and centres. These are offered on a morning, afternoon or evening basis to facilitate course participants to attend.
