Grazed grass is the cheapest feed for milk production in Northern Ireland. Benchmarked dairy farms have shown a difference in milk production from forage of more than 2,400 litres between the top and bottom 25 percent. Making better use of grass will reduce costs and improve profitability.Aim.

Local group meetings will help you learn from others whilst also receiving support from your local Dairying Development Adviser. There will be best practice visits to demonstrate how you can make improvements on your farm. On completion, there is an opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification.
