Grass Challenge for cattle and sheep farmers

Grazed grass is the cheapest feed for beef and lamb production in Northern Ireland. Benchmarking figures show that better grassland management can achieve 25 percent higher growth rates. Making better use of grass will reduce costs and improve profitability.

Local group meetings will help you learn from others whilst also receiving support from your local Beef and Sheep Development Adviser. There will be best practice visits to demonstrate how you can make improvements on your farm. On completion, there is an opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification.
